Maksi( Malam Aksi) is an event that was held by our school, also known as SMPK BPK 1 PENABUR. Maksi is an event where students could show their talents to everyone. But this year's Maksi event was about Different types of Indonesian Culture. This event was held at Universitas Kristen Maranatha, the time was from 18:00-20:00.

There were different types of performances like: hip hop, traditional dances, and acting. There are 2 different types of seats, Regular seats which is 75.000, and VIP seats, which is 100.000.

Overall i think that the performance was a 8\10,

Hip Hop

because it is was an very fun show to be honest, and there is also a hip hop part, which gave me goosebumps, because the background and all was perfectly in sync, the performers was well trained. I also played Brawl Star, a mobile video game which was fun.

I don't regret going, because we could meet our friends, we also could watch a performance. That is all for me, i hope you enjoyed my blog!

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year is a Chinese festival which celebrates at the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. In 2019 the first day of the Chinese New Year was at the 5th of February, which represents the Year of the Pig. It is also celebrated in other countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia.

We must avoid taking medicine, or he/she will get ill for the rest of the year. Do not sweep/ take out the garbage as it represents dumping out our luck /good fortune from the house. Do not eat porridge and meat for breakfast because it is considered only poor people have porridge. Do not wash clothes and hair, as the first two days is considered the birthday of Shuishen( The god of water), hair must not be washed at the first day of Chinese New Year because when translated to Chinese language hair(发) has the same pronunciation as fa in fachai(发财),  which means to be wealthy, so that is why we do not want someone to wash someone's fortune away.

I personally like Chinese New Year, because we get to have angpao, and we could see the lion dance and the dragon dance. Me and my family went to Jakarta by train for my New Year Celebration, because my great grandma lives there. When we arrived we immediately went to my great grandma's house and we had a feast together, the food was very good, we ate dumplings, fish, noodles, and oranges, as it could increase our wealth, an increase in prosperity, happiness.

After the feast, we went back to Bandung, overall i liked the visit, because we get to see our family, cousins, we also get to go to other city, wishing you a loving and a prosperous year! Hope you enjoy my blog!

  

   

MAKSI

                                              MAKSI

MAKSI(Malam Aksi), Maksi is a event that was held by our school which is SMPK BPK 1 PENABUR.

Maksi is a event where students get to perform dances, singing ,acting and other performances. 

Students who are performing can watch the event on the TV screen at the backstage. The place where the Maksi will be held is at Universitas Kristen Maranatha , from 18:00-20:00

The last 2 years, the theme of the Maksi was 'Harmony in Diversity', the meaning is Unity In One. Sadly, i did not get a chance to experience this event because i was not in BPK yet that time.

This year's Maksi theme is about INDONESIA, because there is an President election occurring this year.

The show will last for 2 hours, we must pay 75.000 for the regular ticket, and 100.000 for the VIP ticket. All the money will go to the charity.

You will regret it if you don't join this big event, because the event will only be held 2 years per event. It will be fun and exciting, do not forget to tell this your friends and family, you will have a blast and an unforgettable memory.

DCP CAMP 2019

                                      DCP CAMP 2019

On the 25th of January, DCP(Dual Certificate Prgrame) students joined a camp called the DCP Camp. We stayed at a place called 'Wisma Shalom' it is similar like a hotel, but it is more of a place where schools make a retreat.

On the first day, all of the 7-9 graders must be in Wisma Shalom by 

7.30. When i reached the place, our teacher told us to put our bags in front of our room. Then the teachers ask us to go downstairs which will lead us to an enormous hall, where all the activities would be held. But before any activities there is a quick briefing and the choosing of groups. All students were randomly picked by the teachers per class.The day ended at 9.50. When we got back into our room,we were very exhausted, before sleeping I took a shower, then I went to bed.

The next day, we woke up at 4.55, not knowing it was that time, we rushed downstairs, because we must be at the hall by 5.00, for our morning exercise and devotion.
Then, we went back to our room to pack our bags, and for us take a shower and for us to get ready.
We went to the hall to eat breakfast. Before going home My brother and his friends was told to dance. It was really funny, i could not stop laughing. After all that, we were given Yoshinoya for our lunch, then we went home.

From this camp i learned how to respect our parents, worship God, Team work, be honest. Overall I enjoyed my stay, and it is a valueable program. Hopefully this program will make the student more honest, and hopefully realizing the importance of character building and being afraid of God  

My Trip to Japan

                                         My Trip to Japan

 One of my best experiences was going to Japan. Japan is known for it's traditions, which includes tea ceremonies, Kimono-as the traditional clothing, the famous Sumo Boxing, calligraphy and flower arranging.  It is also the birthplace of Sushi, which is my favorite food, 

What i like about Japan is that it has a peaceful environment. The streets are very clean and the people are very kind.

I had a chance to go to Disney Sea. It was a a happy moment, because there was a lot of thrilling roller coasters. The one ride that fascinated me, was called The Tower Of Terror. It was a scary ride, because there was a few realistic jump scares. The food in the food stall was very delicious, like hot dogs, burger, churros. 

I also went to Cup Noodle Museum. It was a museum about a brand of instant cup ramen. The ramen was first invented in 1958 by Momofuku Ando and manufactured by Nissin. We could design our own cup noddles with markers, and it was a really fun. We also saw a life-sized silver sculpture of Momofuku Ando, many artistic interpretations on the Cup noodle theme, and also the historic wall of ramen through the years. 

We went to Shinsaibashi at Osaka. It was the main street of Osaka, as well as the central shopping hub. In this area, you could find anything from giant famous brands to tiny, cramped shops. It had a really beautiful views.


We had the chance to visit a Ninja Museum. There was a training course just for the visitors, that allowed us to experience to be a ninja. The first course, we must throw shuriken , a Japanese concealed weapon that was used as a hidden dagger to distract the enemy. The objective of the second course was to climb over walls, and crawl over some obstacles. After the training, we were so tired, so we ate vanilla ice cream, which was so good.

My Holiday

                                      MY HOLIDAY

                                        

      On my holidays, I did not go anywhere outside Bandung. I was actually pretty bored, but at least i got video games to play. The game is called Fornite, and it is really addicting!

Fornite is an online video game that was first released in 2017 by a developer called Epic Games. It was playable in every platform including Nintendo Switch. It is a player vs player battle royale game that consist of 100 random player from all over the world. The  players must find guns, items, and resources while trying to stay alive and attacking other player.

Before the 31st of December, I and my brother
went to my cousin's house. We watched a movie together.
The movie's title is Bird Box. It is a very intense horror movie.
After watching the movie, my cosuins, my brother and i ate Samyang, an instant noodle from Korea.We chose to eat the Chicken Ramen flavour. It was the most spiciest food that i ever tasted, and that is why it is called the fire noodle. My tongue felt burning, like a person had cut my tongue. It was a fun challenging experience. 

On the 31st of December, New Year's Eve, I had dinner together with my family, grandpa, grandma, and my cousins. After dinner we had a sleepover in our grandpa's house. We waited until 12 o'clock. When the minute struck twelve, we saw a lot of fireworks from every direction. It was amazing, satisfying and beautiful at the same time. We prayed together, wishing 2019 will be a great year for all of us, and thanking God for blessing us in 2018.

On the 6th of January, we went back to school. It was kind of sad but at least I got to see all my friends again. I miss them already, because the holiday was for a month.
